Description: Oversees and ensures the day-to-day operation of the inter-banking payments with SPEI and future integrations like Swift and Remittances.

Main duties and responsibilities

-Monitoring and Service Assurance

•      Proactive monitoring of the health of the applications integrated to the SPEI system from the Mexican Central Bank, Banco de Mexico (Banxico).

•      Accountable for the resolution of application or infrastructure incidents that affect third party payments in Cashi Open Loop Account.

•      Point of contact for the resolution of incidents and service level assurance between other upstream and downstream applications and the applications integrated to SPEI.

•      Constant review of the current and historic metrics from the system, use data to proactively propose improvement strategies, identify and manage risks to warrant the correct operation.

-Change Management

•      Responsible to ensure the changes promoted to production are correctly validated as per current quality assurance processes and via a valid CI/CD pipeline, to avoid impacts to the production operation of the system.

•      Responsible to verify that the changes to be released, have an automated rollback process that was validated in lower environments.

KPI’s

•      Guarantee a correct operation of third party and inter-banking payments 24/7, maintaining at least 98% uptime connectivity with SPEI system and an availability of 99.8% for the payments service.

•      Approach to zero system downtime due change impact.

•      Comply on time with DRP, POA and COA processes regulated by Banxico.

•      Assure recovery time objective (RTO) of less than 4 hours for major incidents.

Academic Level

▪      Computer systems Engineering, or related engineering background (electrical, computer, electronics)

-Tech and soft skills

▪      Previous development experience with applications built for Linux/J2EE/Oracle.

▪      Relational databases and SQL.

▪      Experience developing and/or operating SOAP web services or APIs.

▪      Working experience with monitoring tools at infrastructure and application level such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Willy, Tivoli and experience with Splunk.

▪      Knowledge In ITIL v3 or v4, ITIL foundations certification desirable.

▪      Knowledge and experience working with inter-banking SPEI payments, understanding of the law of payment systems, SPEI manual, or CODI preferable in operations roles.

▪      Experience working in systems operations.

▪      Desirable knowledge or experience working with the platform “E-Karpay” from Praxis.
